It is located in one of the most important provinces of the North region and its entry into operation was key for the tourist development of the country. The AIGL has a runway of 3,081 m x 46 m and can receive wide-body aircraft, including Boeing 747 and Airbus A350. The terminal has 27,075 m² and a maximum capacity of 1,200 passengers per hour.
